Overnight, IAF aircraft targeted a weapon manufacturing facility in the southern Gaza Strip and a terror activity site in the central Gaza Strip.  Direct hits were identified.

The sites were targeted in response to the rocket fire towards southern Israel. During 2012 over 275 rockets were fired at Israel from the Gaza Strip.

The IDF will continue to operate against anyone who uses terror against the residents of the State of Israel. The Hamas terror organization is solely responsible for any terrorist activity emanating from the Gaza Strip.
