IAF Targets Squad following Mortar Shell Attack

Following an operational assessment in the field, an IDF force engaged in routine operational activity in the Gaza Strip opened controlled fire against suspicious targets.

During the course of the activity, two mortar shell launches against the force were identified. No casualties or damages were reported.

In response to this mortar fire, IAF aircraft targeted the terrorist squad who was responsible for the firing, identifying a hit.

Terrorist organizations constantly attempt to attack Israeli civilians and soldiers. The IDF holds the Hamas, a terrorist organization, fully responsible for all that takes place within Gaza strip.

In Response to Rocket Fire, IAF Targets Weapons Manufacturing Site

In response to rocket fire from Gaza at Israel last night, IAF aircraft targeted a weapons manufacturing site in the central Gaza Strip overnight. A hit was confirmed.

The IDF will not tolerate any attempt to harm Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers, and will continue to respond with determination to any attempt to use terror against the citizens of Israel. The IDF holds the Hamas terrorist organization solely responsible for any terrorist activity emanating from the Gaza Strip.

Yesterday, Israel unveiled a newly deployed Iron Dome battery, designed to protect Ashdod’s 200,000 Israeli residents from Gaza rockets. The city of Ashdod is equivalent in population to Atlanta, GA and Manchester, UK.
