Earlier today, in a joint IDF- ISA activity in the northern Gaza Strip, the IAF targeted a terrorist squad preparing to fire rockets into Israel. Direct hits, as well as secondary explosions proving the presence of explosive materials, were identified.
According to Palestinian reports, three militants were killed.
In addition, an anti-tank missile was fired at an IDF force in the southern Gaza Strip. The force responded by returning fire at the source of the fire. These incidents follow an infiltration by terrorists earlier today, during which two armed militants opened fire at IDF soldiers.
In another unrelated event, two rockets were fired at Israel today from the Gaza Strip. The rockets landed in the Ashkelon Shore Regional Council.
The IDF remains committed to protecting the citizens of Israel and will continue to act against terror. The IDF holds Hamas solely responsible for terror emanating from the Gaza Strip.
