The IDF Chief of the General Staff, Lt. Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi, visited the US Congress yesterday (Monday), and met with Senator John McCain and Senator Joe Lieberman. During the meeting, the three discussed various current issues, including Iran, Syria and Hezbollah, as well as the strategic relations between the United States and Israel.

The Chief of the General Staff, Lt. Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi, held a work meeting today (Tuesday) with his colleague, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the United States Military, Admiral Michael Mullen. The meeting was held for an hour and a half during which the two discussed various current issues. Prior to the meeting Admiral Mullen and his wife had breakfast with Lt. Gen. Ashkenazi and his wife.
